Privacy notice

Buggenheim AB, Sweden, provides Late.me and is the controller responsible for your personal data. Organisation number: 559274-3008. Registered address: Hjärnegatan 8, 11229 Stockholm, Sweden. Contact us about privacy at hello@late.me.

• Account details: your email, and the name, phone number and short description you choose to give.
• What you tell Late: call recordings, transcripts, written stories, photos and files you add, and the memories Late suggests from them. Suggestions stay suggestions until you confirm them.
• Calls: the phone numbers involved, time and length of each call.
• Purchases and gifts: what was bought, amounts, the buyer's name and email, the recipient's name and (if given) email and message, and booked interview times. Card details are handled only by Stripe.
• Usage: your plan and how many Moments you've used, so the service works fairly.

Your stories may include information about other people, or about health, beliefs or other sensitive matters. We process that only to keep and show it to you, as you ask us to.

• To provide Late.me to you, including calls, transcription, memory suggestions and interviews: our contract with you, and your explicit consent for sensitive details you choose to share.
• To take payment, deliver gifts and keep accounts: contract and legal obligations such as bookkeeping law.
• To keep the service safe and prevent misuse: our legitimate interest.

We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never use your stories to train AI models for anyone else.

We use carefully chosen service providers, bound by data processing agreements, only to run Late.me:

• Lovable Cloud, for hosting, accounts and secure storage.
• Telnyx, for phone calls; ElevenLabs, for Late's voice and live conversation.
• AI providers through Lovable AI, to transcribe and suggest memories, without using your data for their own training.
• Stripe, for payments and tax.
• ChatGPT (OpenAI), only if you connect it yourself. See ChatGPT privacy.

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. When they do, it is protected by approved safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your Late is kept for as long as your account exists, because keeping it is the point. You can delete individual items, or your whole account, at any time. Payment records are kept for the retention periods required by applicable bookkeeping and tax law. Unredeemed gift details are kept until the gift is redeemed or expires, and then as part of payment records.

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@late.me and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY, imy.se) in Sweden or Datatilsynet in Norway.

If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in Late.me before the change applies.
